I have completed the biographical paper. Now I need to collect my reading material and find a thesis. I am not sure exactly what route I'm going to take on this paper, but tomorrow (12/11) in study-hall I will continue to gather information, and hopefully have an rough-draft introduction by tomorrow night. With the first two pages due on Wednesday, I should have an idea of the direction of my paper by then.

I am starting my research on Borges's biographical information. I think I saw a biographical book on Borges that seems to be a sister to the short story book I was looking through yesterday. I also have looked through the Gale Group resource online to find some other biographical information. Between the book and the databases, I should have ample resources for my project.

I'm going to stick with Borges. I was a big fan of "The Garden of Forking Paths" and I found some works I liked in a collection of his. I am on a quest for another source for his short stories so I can meet the source requirement--with two sources for his short stories, and one for his biographical information, I'm set. I need to chose which works I'm going to read. I'm also contemplating comparing Borges to another author instead of Borges to Borges. We'll see.
Website: http://www.bilkent.edu.tr/~sbahadir/borges.html
Author: N/A--> not a good start
Audience: seems like it is meant for Borges readers, some of which who read in Spanish
Scholarship: seems as abundant as gravity in outer space (i.e. it's not there)
Bias: If I knew how to read that much in Spanish, I might be able to tell you if there is any bias
Currency: there is not really any information, so currency does not apply here
Links: (here's the kicker) the links take me nowhere; imagine that!
Will I use this website? Although I am a fan of the vibrant blue shade, I think that this website would be about as helpful as hitting my head against a wall. I've decided, and I'm going to stay with my decision no matter what you say: I'm not going to use this website.

I think I'm going to research Borges because I know there will be a lot of information on him, and I like the short story that we have read by him. I looked at his poems to see what his poetry style is like, but I remembered that poetry did not come naturally to me, and I don't want to take the time to decypher his poems. I feel more comfortable with short stories because of their prose. I'm going to look further into Borges short stories and find some more that I like.
